Established in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain extension is the single TLD meant for personal sites only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. At first, just third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to register john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased third-level domains remained running.

Through our company, you can secure your dot NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to edit the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you take its EPP transfer key from the present domain service provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finished. There are no specific restrictions on who can purchase a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the concept behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
